COCHIN-MUNNAR –THEKKDY-ALEPPY-KOVALAM-KANNYAKUMARI-TRIVANDRUM
Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, board the vehicle that will take you to your respective hotel. Cochin is a coastal city that lies on the western coast of Peninsular India. This port city enthralls travelers with its historical monuments, beaches and lush environs. Some of the major landmarks of this place are St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and Santa Cruz Basilica. After arrival at the hotel, check-in and take some rest. As the rest of the day is free for leisure activities, you may choose to savor the local cuisine, which is served at several food joints. Alternately, you can explore the bustling markets and streets of Cochin to shop for souvenirs. After a memorable day, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Today start your journey towards Munnar. Situated at an elevation of 1600 metres above sea level, Munnar is a beautiful hill station in Kerala. It is located at the confluence of three rivers and is worth a visit. Expansive tea plantations, winding lanes and mist covered hills add to the beauty of this place. On the way visit Cheeyapara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Spice plantations etc On arrival at Munnar, check-in at the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, explore Munnar more and proceed to the Eravikulam National Park, Annamudi Peaks where you can spot the endangered Nilgiri Thaar. Later, proceed to visit Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Thekkady, with its bountiful natural terrains, is home to many varieties of flora and fauna. This spice haven is also known for a cool calmness that has a dreamy quality to it.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel at around 9 am and then, proceed for Thekkady, in a private vehicle. The distance between Munnar and Thekkady is 110 km and it takes approximately 4 hours to cover the area. After arrival, you would check-in at the hotel, and have some time for relaxing. Then, at around 3 pm, it would be time for a boat cruise experience at the Periyar Lake near the Periyar sanctuary. The boat ride, lasting for 2 hours, would be both relaxing and exciting as you get to discover the secrets of the sanctuary. Following this, you would proceed for a cultural show at a theatre to get a glimpse of the art and craft of the region by attending the traditional Kalari Show. In the evening you would return to the hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious meal.
After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Thekkady and go for a Spice Plantation Tour which will last for an hour.
You may also indulge in spice shopping (own expense). There are various kinds of spices cultivated in Thekkady and the most abundantly found spice, in Thekkady, is pepper. Also, there is a variety of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, turmeric and curry leaves on the slanting slopes of the spice plantations in Thekkady.
Drive to Kumarakom and reach there by afternoon. Check-in at the hotel, unpack and relax. In the evening, go for an evening boat cruise on the backwaters for an hour.
Return to the hotel. You can opt for a traditional Ayurveda massage (own expense). Relish a warm dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in your room.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Kumarakom and drive to Kovalam through Trivandrum, which is a pit stop where you can grab lunch at a good restaurant.visit to padmanabham temple..
Later, you can visit the Napier Museum and Zoological Park and walk through the lush green zoo for a memorable experience (the zoo remains closed on Monday). In the evening, proceed towards Kovalam.
On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel after a hearty dinner.
After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari which is approximately 87 kilometers away from Kovalam.
Here, you get to visit the Kumari Amman Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam and also witness the beautiful statue of Tiruvalluvar and the meeting point of Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.
In the evening, proceed to Kovalam. Return to your hotel and spend time at leisure by enjoying a beautiful sunset or a fun photography session looking like a local Keralite.

Note: The non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the temple. The temple opens from 04:30 hours to 11:30 hours in the morning and from 17:30hours to 20:30 hours in the evening.
After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Kovalam. You would be dropped at the Trivandrum/Cochin airport/railway station for your return journey.
